The severe winter is approaching, we need to strengthen the protection of the four-post hydraulic press. In addition, the weather is cold and the air becomes humid, which makes the four-post hydraulic equipment particularly prone to rust.
The rust of the four-post hydraulic press will affect work efficiency and reduce the output. In the worst case, it will stop production and even pay for repairs. The following is the method to prevent the machine from rusting:
1. First of all, the most simple and effective way to prevent the machine from rusting is to apply anti-oxidation paint for the four-post hydraulic machine, or apply mineral oil, paint, or fire enamel, or spray on the surface of iron products.
2. Use electroplating, hot-dip plating, and other methods to coat the surface of the steel, which with a layer of metal that is not easy to rust, such as zinc, tin, chromium, nickel, etc. These metal surfaces can form a dense oxide film to prevent iron products from contacting water, air, and other substances from rusting.
3. If there is paint falling off on the metal surface of the four-post hydraulic press, we must apply anti-oxidation paint in time.
For users in some severe cold regions in the north, due to the low winter temperature, the four-post hydraulic press is in a state of discontinuation. Therefore, when the four-post hydraulic press is shut down for storage, we also need to store it in a dry and well-ventilated environment. It is best to coat all parts and other parts with lubricating oil. Due to the influence of temperature, the lubricating oil of some hydraulic presses is easy to solidify. Therefore, it is necessary to choose lubricating oil suitable for low-temperature resistance, preferably lubricating oil series with low condensation point. According to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, the gap between moving parts tends to shrink as the temperature decreases, which can ensure that the parts are more wear-resistant at low temperatures.
When we found that the four-post hydraulic press has rusted, we have the following three solutions:
1. We can use chemical derusting. In the field of chemistry, acidic substances can chemically react with metal oxides, that remove the corrosion products on the metal surface of the four-post hydraulic machine. Pickling and rust removal can only be performed in the workshop.
2. We can use high-pressure water abrasive to remove rust. The impact of high-pressure water jet and water skid is used to destroy the adhesion of rust and coating to the steel plate. It is characterized by no dust pollution, no damage to the steel plate, greatly improved rust removal efficiency and high rust removal efficiency.
3. We can also use electric rust removal. It is mainly powered by electricity or compressed air, then equipped with a suitable rust removal device, and performs reciprocating or rotating motion to meet the requirements of rust removal on various occasions.
