·The difference between forging and stamping.

Forging is a collective term for forging and stamping. It is a forming and processing method, which uses a hammer, anvil, punch of a forging machine, or applying pressure to a blank through a die, to plastically deform it to obtain the desired shape and size. Forging is mainly used to process metal parts,  it can also be used to process some non-metals, such as engineering plastics, rubber, ceramic blanks, brick blanks, and the forming of composite materials.

Forging And Stamping

Stamping processing is a production technology, which means by the power of conventional or special stamping equipment, so that the sheet is directly subjected to deformation force in the mold and deformed. And then process the product parts with a certain shape, size, and performance.

Sheet material, mold, and equipment are the three elements of stamping processing. According to the stamping temperature, it is divided into hot stamping and cold stamping. The former is suitable for sheet metal processing with high deformation resistance and poor plasticity; the latter is performed at room temperature, which is a commonly used stamping method for thin sheets, and one of the main methods of metal plastic processing. It also belongs to the material forming engineering technology.
